Meals in the Greco-Roman World
Philip Harland at Religions of the Ancient Mediterranean has linked to an interesting web site which has the results of a seminar sponsored by the Society of Biblical Literature, “Meals in the Greco-Roman World.” There seem to be a number of interesting articles which might help us understand some aspects of Jewish ritual and custom, specifically there is one by Jonathan Brumberg-Kraus, “Meals and Jewish Studies”.
