Back from Cape Cod
Yesterday we got back from a nice vacation on Cape Cod just before Shabbat. During the week I read an excellent book on the history of the CIA, Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA. It documents how torture, lying, incompetence, and other related activities has been the bread-and-butter of the CIA since its inception. The book also documents certain rays of light in the CIA’s history, and individuals whose bravery one would have difficulty not being awestruck by. For anyone intersted in the subject, it is highly recommended. The only thing that I have time to write about now is the fantastic Macupdate Promo which is available for $49 for another eleven days. It includes three great programs which I already own and use quite often: Mellel, Bookends, and Devon Agent. If you don’t own all of them, this update is highly recommended for academically-inclined Mac users.

I’ll have to read Legacy of Ashes so we can talk about it!
