Twitter and the Talmud

Last year I read this interesting post at Academic Hack about the possible uses of Twitter by academics. I thought that it sounded interesting, but left it at that. Today I read this post by David Pogue and decided to try out Twitter again. Here is a post with some links to Twitter-friendly tools. I see Twitter as a good way of not necessarily keeping abreast of what someone is doing, but rather as an efficient vehicle for facilitating interaction and questions about research, bibliographic references, etc., e.g. “Does anyone know of an article which addresses this question?” You can follow my tweets here. Lastly, after Googling “Twitter” and “Talmud” I found this post at Gawker titled, Geeks on Twitter act like rabbis debating arcane points of the Talmud.
