Preparing for the Seder-5769
Here are a few books which are helping me prepare for the seder this year.
1. Creating Lively Passover Seders by David Arnow. This is a great book which some of you may still be able to get before the seder if you are looking for a book to help make the seder more meaningful.
2. Many Ways to Tell Our Story, וכל המרבה לספר. A nice booklet published by JOFA with many activities for children. It can be downloaded here.
3. I also picked up The Seder Night: An Exalted Evening: The Passover Haggadah: With a Commentary Based on the Teachings of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik yesterday. I haven’t been able to go through it too much, but it looks like a nice publication.
4. The Schechter Haggadah has been sitting on my desk for a few weeks. I have been able to refer to it from time to time when I had certain questions. Without a doubt an important work (disclosure: Josh Kulp is a good friend of mine.) I know that the Judaica store here in Riverdale had a number of copies which I think are all gone, but maybe some Judaica stores still have some left.

Chag kasher v’sameach! I love the Schechter haggadah (saw you got a shout-out from Dr. Kulp). The artwork alone is worth the price of the book, and I haven’t even really delved into the commentary yet.
