The Four Questions from Kibbutz Haggadot
Between the years 1930-1960 over five hundred haggadot were printed on kibbutzim. See here for some examples. Recently a book has been published which collects many of these texts and tells their story. Below are two examples of the “Four Questions” from two different Kibbutz Haggadot from 1939.

Very nice. A few less equanimically happy ones would be nice for a balance (like haggadot from ’48 and ’49 perhaps? or maybe from some rosy-eyed new olim to America a century ago?) but really, these are quite touching to read. I’ve found that a study of Haggadot from various times and places is one of the most heart-enriching Judaic endeavors available. Jews take their Passover night seriously. Leil Shimurim indeed.
