Rabbi Zvi Tau and the Future of Religious Zionism
Yehudah Mirsky has a good article at Jewish Ideas Daily about Rabbi Zvi Tau. Rabbi Tau is not very well known to most Israelis, let alone to American Jews, yet he is an important figure in the religious zionist community in Israel.
A few weeks ago Rabbi Benny Lau wrote a very critical piece in Makor Rishon about Rabbi Tau. In the weeks since then, Musaf Shabbat of Makor Rishon has published a number of reactions to Rabbi Lau’s article, including a strongly worded opinion column against Rabbi Lau here. The other articles and letters from Mussaf Shabbat can be found here and here.

Do you have a copy of the original article by Rav Lau? I am not able to find it anywhere on the Mussaf Shabbat website. What exactly did he articulate as his critique of Rav Tau and his followers?

Benny Lau’s article can be found here:

It was not published in Yediot Aharonot as you wrote, but at Makor Rishon. Beside this article Lau has published a short article in Ynet.

Yoav,
Thanks for the correction. I had seen the article in Yediot and I wasn’t able to find one in Makor Rishon, so I assumed they were reacting to the Yediot article.
