Last year I posted about a documentary that was broadcast on Israel TV about Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef. I recently found the documentary with English subtitles. It is worth a view for those who were unable understand the Hebrew original.

Has it ever been considered that as the Rabbi got older, he was becoming afflicted with Altsheimer disease? I have seen the same behavior as the disease progressed-including physical violence.Gentle kind personalities say the most awful things and laugh and smile as though it’s some kind of inner joke. There is no way to reason with them-the tranformation is symptomatic of the disease. It is heart wrenching.The Rabbi seems to be a classic case.
