Is there a difference in connotation between החלמה מהירה and the more traditional רפואה שלימה?

I was thinking about the same question when I wrote it. In modern Israeli Hebrew החלמה מהירה seems to be more common, although I don’t know why.

Sad. He was my closest first cousin since age 5.
He was a great archeologist, patriot, family man and a Mentch.

well now according to the jerusalem post he is in fact not dead at all. but in critical condition. i certainly hope that’s the case.
