According to INN (Hebrew), Prof. Ehud Netzer was seriously injured in a fall at Herodium. Prof. Netzer has been overseeing the excavations there for forty years. החלמה מהירה.

Is there a difference in connotation between החלמה מהירה and the more traditional רפואה שלימה?
In any event, I second the good wishes.
I was thinking about the same question when I wrote it. In modern Israeli Hebrew החלמה מהירה seems to be more common, although I don’t know why.
According to a friend of mine, who is a family member, Prof Netzer has passed. Z”L
a genuine loss which i hope turns out to not be the case. but alas, if the family has said it… how sad.
My Uncle was a brilliant man, and his death fills us with great sorrow.
May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Sad. He was my closest first cousin since age 5.
He was a great archeologist, patriot, family man and a Mentch.

well now according to the jerusalem post he is in fact not dead at all. but in critical condition. i certainly hope that’s the case.
Let’s leave it to the family to release any reports about his condition.
