Rabbah and Rabbi Zeirah-The Blues Version
A blues version of the following Talmudic text (Megillah 7b):
Rava said: A man is obligated to drink on Purim until he no longer knows [the difference] between cursed Haman and blessed Mordecai. Rabbah and R. Zeira celebrated the Purim meal together. They got drunk. Rabbah got up and slaughtered R. Zeira. The next day he prayed and revived him. The following year, he [Rabbah] said: Would the Master like to come and we will celebrate the Purim meal together? He [Rabbi Zeira] said to him: A miracle does not occur every hour.

THAT was great. Thank you for putting it up. (The band’s sound reminds me vaguely of Ginger Baker’s Air Force.)

Nice. I didn’t catch who the performers were (I don’t want to guess). Please tell.
Maybe some day you should do a post of talmudic aggadata in popular song (e.g., Rabbi Akiva Ish Tzanua).
