Who is Rabbi Triebitz? Having listened to some of the shiurim he seems self-taught. do you have any info about him?

The only info that I have on him is what I found here.

In philosophy Rabbi Triebitz is self taught as far as I know, but so many of his talmidim are philosophy students, and he continues to learn from them.
In terms of Jewish learning, his main teacher was R’ Aharon Yaffen, and in kabbalah R’ Yaakov Hillel (as far as I know).

Rabbi Sedley, correct me if I’m wrong, but Rabbi Triebitz’s Rosh Yeshiva and main teacher of Torah was Rabbi Yakov Yaffen ZT”L, was it not? I suspect you may be confusing the Yaffen’s.
