Treasures of Troyes
Over at BiblioOdyssey PK has a post, “The Treasures of Troyes”, with some images of mss. in Latin from Troyes, Rashi’s hometown. Check out this link which is found at BiblioOdyssey for a nice site about Troyes, both present and past. Most of the site is in French and Rashi is mentionned a number of times, amongst them in “Troyes’ Greatest Hours”. A good place to start for Troyes during Rashi’s time is Salo Baron’s article “Rashi and the Community of Troyes” in Rashi Anniversary Volume, New York, 1941. The second image from the top is from Nicholas de Lyre’s Postilles (see also bibliography here) who was known to have been influenced by Rashi’s and other Jewish commentaries on the Bible (see no. 32).
