    What a great and engaging speaker. Popular theories like the Khazar conversion usually don’t get refuted publicly because most academics think they’re nonsense, and they don’t have time for nonsense. The problem is that there are enormous numbers of people who take these theories seriously, and we really need authoritative voices to show that no, there really isn’t contemporary evidence for major conversions; and the stuff that gets presented as evidence is pretty bogus.

    Thanks for the video. It was very interesting. I always felt that the Kahazr conversion story was fishy.

    Im still yawning from watching the video until much too late. It was interesting. Curious, however, that throughout the discussion he made no mention of Yehuda Halevy.
